The Basement Has Had Enough

The Juniors upset the Professional, Maye answers the complaint department, and Dirtbag Dynasty becomes the last unbeaten team.

Unc Dak and the Juniors finally won, and Dak watched from the bench. Maye set my lineup finally got a big game from Maye. arjunpatelmb finally set a perfect lineup. Team Taylor changed its name to Team Osteoporosis and discovered that the scoreboard does not accept rebranding as payment. Week 4 was a celebration of growth, with one conspicuous exception at the bottom of the scoring table.

Three teams entered unbeaten. Dirtbag Dynasty is the only one left. The former Van has now beaten both Team Osteoporosis and the previously perfect IR Merchant, which is becoming an unnecessarily thorough tour of this publication's recent storylines.

The Matchups

Unc Dak and the Juniors 132.04Professional Ball-Knower 119.42

The Brand Loyalty Award has been returned to the manufacturer. Unc Dak started Tyler Shough for 15.94 and benched Dak's 18.1, then won anyway. After three losses, changing the quarterback did not improve the quarterback score. It did improve the mood. Puka Nacua scored 23.2 in his return to the lineup, Higgins added 21.2 and Cam Little supplied 14.

Love finally started after last week's benched 19.4 and scored 6, while Hampton's 12.3 sat unused. The team still left 8.46 available. None of it matters nearly as much as the first win, delivered against an opponent who had not lost. The Juniors have defeated the Professional. Please adjust the org chart.

Professional Ball-Knower got 21.8 from Flowers, 19.62 from Purdy and 15.6 from Olave. Adams managed 5.2 and kicker McLaughlin fell from 12 to 2. Stevenson scored 16.9 on the bench, enough to improve things, but the full best lineup reaches 131.12 and still loses by 0.92. The first defeat was not a hidden win waiting to be discovered. Sometimes knowing ball just means understanding exactly why this feels bad.

Dirtbag Dynasty 143.98IR Merchant 128.46

Last week's popcorn matchup delivered a 15.52-point win for Dirtbag Dynasty. Walker scored 30.4, Hubbard 25.4 and Lamar 18.88. Gibbs only needed 15.7 this time. Four straight wins, 597.68 total points, and the league's sole unbeaten record. The Van changed its name, but the parking situation remains everyone else's problem.

There are still questionable items in the glove compartment. Monangai scored 27.5 on the bench while Swift started for 6.4. Likely finally replaced Kraft and immediately lost that comparison, 10.1 to 13.5. Last week Kraft finally beat Likely. This week they swapped. The tight-end guessing game has acquired the consistency of a broken elevator, and somehow the building keeps getting taller.

IR Merchant's perfect-lineup streak ended after two weeks, along with the unbeaten record. Lamb scored 32.8, Bryce Young 21.46 and new kicker Spencer Shrader 16. Harvey's 14.3 stayed on the bench while Egbuka scored 2.3. That difference accounts for all 12 points left available. Even the perfect version loses, 140.46 to 143.98. They needed more than the missing points. They needed the Van to stop at a red light.

Maye set my lineup 156.46D.Achane hang low 108.12

Maye has responded to the complaint department. He scored 27.16 while benched Stafford managed 11.68, reversing last week's quarterback comparison. McMillan went from 2.7 to 38.2 in the starting lineup, Kyren Williams added 31.7 and Jake Bates kicked 18. The team won by 48.34. This is an emphatic way to request a correction.

We will print it, with a footnote. McConkey started for zero while Deebo scored 15.5 on the bench. Kelce's 2.5 also lost to Pitts's 6.2, and the full lineup left 22.1 points available. Still, the quarterback decision was right, the fifth-round receiver went enormous and the team is 2-2. Last week's 0.02-point hypothetical escape has been replaced by a win visible from space.

D.Achane hang low brought in Kamara and immediately got 20.3, with 18.6 from Judkins and 16 from Fairbairn. Darnold beat Herbert again, 14.32 to 11.56. The good decisions were simply outnumbered by the other team's points. Smith-Njigba and Garrett Wilson combined for 14.3 after 52.06 last week. Chris Rodriguez's 9.5 sat behind Corum's 2.6, but even the best lineup loses badly. This time there was no 8-point fix hiding by the water cooler.

Hailee Steinfeld FC 166.82Sub Station Retirees 114.48

Hailee Steinfeld FC followed its first win with the league-high 166.82 and a 52.34-point victory. Collins scored 27.3, Bijan 27.2, Allen 19.52 and LaPorta 18.4. Matt Gay added 16. Allen spent the first two weeks scoring huge numbers in losses. Now he can score less than 20 and watch eight other starters reach double figures. Help has finally answered the phone.

Sub Station Retirees got 28.8 from Javonte Williams and not enough from the supporting cast. McLaurin scored zero a week after his 16.7, while Brian Robinson's 25.2 sat on the bench. Johnson finally started over Loveland and won, 8.9 to 8.7. A correct tight-end decision is nice. It is less useful when the opposing team arrives with a fifty-point invoice. Even the full best lineup still loses by 27.14.

arjunpatelmb 125.02Team Osteoporosis 88.4

arjunpatelmb left exactly zero points available and earned a first win. The same manager whose Week 1 bench contained a victory has now submitted a perfect lineup. Emanuel Wilson jumped from 1.4 to 25.5, Burrow scored 25.72 and Nabers 20.2. Tate added 17 and Vele 14.4. Saquon's 1.5 and Kincaid's 1.2 were passengers, but at least everyone who could help was in the vehicle.

Team Osteoporosis, formerly Team Taylor, scored a league-low 88.4. The name changed. The results recognized the roster immediately. Taylor supplied 22.2, Bowers 17.6 and Mahomes 17. Rice scored zero, Moore 2.2 and Montgomery 4.3 while Shakir's 9.7 sat unused. The best available lineup still loses by 26.52. Last week competence wasn't a rewards program. This week the loyalty card appears to have been revoked.

Draft Receipts, Still Open

Dirtbag Dynasty's third-round Walker now has 104.1 points, and ninth-round Hubbard has 74. Fifth-round McMillan gave Maye set my lineup 38.2 in one week. Draft depth matters. So does eventually allowing the points out of storage. arjunpatelmb has apparently found the key.
